The Armed Services YMCA’s Annual Operation Holiday Joy Program supports military families during the holiday season. This event provides toys for the family with an emphasis on serving the junior enlisted (E6 and below). Join us for another year as military families will have the opportunity to receive gifts for their children. Pre-registration for this event is REQUIRED for all military families wishing to attend.

About The Event

The ASY Golf Classic is now one of the largest charity golf tournaments in San Diego County. This best ball, shotgun start, charity golf tournament features a closest-to-the-pin contest, longest drive, mulligans, fantastic raffle items and more. All proceeds support local military families through the programs and services of the Armed Services YMCA San Diego. About The Event

The May Ride was created by two buddies with a common passion, riding. When Clint August and Marc Baluch bought their Harley Davidson Motorcycles over 18 years ago, they realized that the riding community as a whole loved two things. First was the freedom of the open road and the second was that just about every rider they met along the way were very passionate about charitable work. During a conversation about the importance of our Men and Women in uniform one evening, Marc suggested that maybe they should put together a motorcycle run to raise funds for our Heroes in the Armed Forces. Clint agreed and they put together the first “May Ride”, in 2003. The first event had only one rider and about 40 people at the after party. The second year attracted just over 60 riders and close to a hundred people at the after party and it’s grown every year since with the help of a core group of great friends and wonderful volunteers who put their heart and souls into the planning and in making sure that everyone involved has a great time while honoring our military, past and present! For several years now The May Ride has 500-600 riders and over 5,000 attendees at the after party. The event has grown in attendance and in activities, live entertainment, shows, contests and much more. Whether you ride or not, this is a festival that you want to be a part of.

About The Event

Thousands of San Diego Unified school district children come from military families. Our school supplies drive helps minimize the financial hardship for junior enlisted military service members and their families with pencils, notebooks, folders, and more. Each year the Armed Services YMCA San Diego provides school supplies to military kids, K- 8th grade, to reduce parents' stress and get our military kids ready for school.

About The Event

The Big Bay Boom fireworks show is displayed from four barges on San Diego Bay at 9 PM. Bring your lawn chairs, friends and boats to watch from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, Marina District, Coronado Ferry Landing, and Boating/On The Water.
