Food Assistance

Food Assistance for Military Families

The ASYMCA San Diego combats this issue of food insecurity in the community we serve. This program helps military families worry less about food and focus on mission readiness. We host two distributions near military communities or housing in Bayview Hills and Murphy Canyon.

Program Overview

The ASYMCA San Diego provides no-cost food distributions twice a month to active-duty military families stationed in the San Diego area who are in need of food assistance.

Registration is required. Any information collected is held completely confidential.

  1. Register for the Neighborhood Food Exchange through a Free Membership.
  2. To meet the standards to distribute food, the San Diego Foodbank requires families to complete a one-time registration at Kiosk Mode – Jacobs and Cushman San Diego Food Bank (oasisinsight.net).
  3. Please have your military ID ready at pick-up.
